Introduction:
東海大學企業管理學系創立於民國62年,秉持東海大學人文與社會關懷的傳統,運用管理學院整體專業教學資源,
注重整體分析與綜合決策能力的通才管理教育,培養具有團隊合作、創新思考與規劃執行能力的管理人才,以符合社會
與產業所需,成為未來的問題解決者、勝任的決策者與傑出的企業家和領導者。
民國68年校方邀集多位知名的中部企業家贊助創設「企業講座」,本系多位教師積極參與舉辦學術演講、研討會與
訓練班等活動。也爭取成立經濟部「中區中小企業言訓中心」,聘請專人負責各項輔導中小企業,提供課程設計與企管
問等方面的諮詢服務。多年來,企業講座不僅提供中部工商企業界進修與訓練之機會(二十多年來,受訓學員已超過數
萬人),也提供企管系師生與企業界接觸、切磋和合作的管道,藉以歷練企管實力。
為提昇企管教育,本系於民國71年成立企業管理研究所,為中部地區最早成立之企業管理研究所,目的在培育具
有團隊合作、創新思考、規劃執行能力、與自我學習的管理專業人才,以因應多元化的經濟社會發展趨向,符合社會與
產業所需。為提供業界主管提升管理能力的概念,民國95年成立高階企業經營碩士在職專班(EMBA)。本系現有大
學部(日間部、輔系與雙學位)、碩士班、EMBA等學制,專任教師十八人,助教七人,本校其他相關系所支援教師數
十人,另聘有校外兼任教師十五人,本系師資具備高度的專業素養與教學熱忱。
在教學分面,注重學生養成資訊應用能力、問題分析與解決能力、溝通與人際互動能力、創意與創新思考能力及培
養領導能力,並積極與業界及相關機構進行研究計劃,加深學生對企業實體管理運作之了解,以強化學生實習實作訓練
,學習將知識運用創新。如:創意思考實務、創業經營實務、經營實務講座或參與校內外活動等。
大學部學生現有七百多人,一個年級三班,是本校大學部學生人數最多的學系;研究所學生八十七人,亦為本校碩
士班人數最多之系所,本系所畢業生於各行各業中皆有優異之表現。本所學生就業出路十分寬闊而富彈性,學生可依個
人興趣及能力,選擇未來發展方向,不論是踏入業界,累積個人經驗及資歷,將所學予以致用;亦或是繼續深造,攻讀
碩博士學位,從事研究貢獻所學。
Department of Business Administration, Tunghai University
The department of business administration, Tunghai University was founded in1973. The department holds the tradition of Tunghai which concerning with humanity and society, and applies professional teaching resources in college of management to reach the aim of generalist education. Our goal is to foster the talents with team-work, innovative and executive abilities that society and industry need, and expect these talents will be problem-solvers, qualified decision-makers, excellent entrepreneurs and leaders in the future.
In 1979, Tunghai invited several noted entrepreneurs to sponsor to foundation of “Business Seminar.” Several teachers in our department were positive to hold activities such as academic speech, seminars and training class, etc. Our department also strived to establish “SMEs Research and Training Center of Central Taiwan”, and engaged experts to counsel SMEs and provided consulting services such as course design and business management. In last two decades, “Business Seminar” not only offers business industry an opportunity for advanced study and training( so far the number of trainees is over tens of thousands), but also provides teachers and students a channel to contact, to learn, and to cooperate with industry, then strengthen their power of business administration.
In order to promote the education of business administration, our department founded the BA institute in 1982 which was the earliest BA institute in central Taiwan. Our aim is to foster professionals with team-work, creative thinking, executive and self-learning abilities that adapts to diverse development tendency of economy and society. For the sake of reinforcing directors’ managerial ability, we established Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) in 2006. Now Tunghai BA department has undergraduate school, graduate school, and EMBA. There are 18 full-time faculties, 7 teaching assistants, 15 part-time faculties, and several supported teachers from related-departments in our department who are possessing of high professional knowledge and enthusiasm of teaching.
On teaching, we concentrate on fostering students to possess the capacities of information technology practice, problem analysis, problem solving, human relation and communication, creative and innovative thinking and leadership. We also actively do research programs with industry and related institutes, in order to strengthen students’ comprehension of business operation, and reinforce students’ practice training and make them apply knowledge to innovation. We arrange suitable courses and activities such as Practice of Creative Thinking, Practice of Entrepreneurship, Practice of Business Operation, etc.
We are the largest department in Tunghai, with about 700 undergraduate students and 87 graduate students. Our students have outstanding performance in various industries after graduated. Students who graduate from our department have wide and flexible options; they can choose direction for future development according to their interests and capacities. For instance, work in business corporations and put knowledge into practice or pursue advanced studies like master or PhD degree and present research achievement.
